AKISA Participates in the Interinstitutional Meeting on the Revision of the National Search and Rescue Plan

On 26 June 2025, under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Defence, Ms. Blerina Abrazhda, the interinstitutional working group meeting for the revision of the National Search and Rescue Plan of the Republic of Albania was held, pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Order.

Representatives from key institutions involved in responding to aviation and maritime incidents participated in the meeting. AKISA, as the authority responsible for safety investigations in civil aviation, was present to contribute its expertise to the improvement of response structures in emergency situations.

The main objective of this process is to strengthen interinstitutional cooperation and improve existing response mechanisms, ensuring an updated plan aligned with international best practices in the field of aeronautical and maritime search and rescue.
